Following a bye in the first round and a 5-3 victory over Blantyre Victoria in the second round, Hugh Hamill’s men now have the opportunity to test themselves against Super League First Division side Rutherglen Glencairn at Millburn Park in the third round. Victory over Glencairn would see the Vale take on either Cumbernauld United or Dunipace in the quarter finals.
Round three draw: Johnstone Burgh/Neilston v Clydebank, Lesmahagow v Lanark United, Thorniewood United v St Anthony’s, Cumbernauld United v Dunipace, Vale of Leven v Rutherglen Glencairn, Kilsyth Rangers v Maryhill, Kirkintilloch Rob Roy v Renfrew, Shettleston v Vale of Clyde.
