SUPPORTERS were treated to a fantastic game of football as Dumbarton United’s 2005s drew 2-2 with Cambuslang in their top-of-the-league clash at Argyle Park on Saturday.

With both teams showing that they were clearly up for it during the warm-up, it was Dumbarton who fired into the lead with a fantastic opening goal after only a minute as Ryan Murray ran on to a fine through ball and outfought the Cambuslang defence to slot home.

The visitors drew level after six minutes from a contentious offside position, but Dumbarton responded well and regained the lead on 25 minutes when Kristian Zetocha fired home from the penalty spot after Flynn Kerr was brought down in the box.

The second half started as quickly as the first with both teams finding their stride and playing some nice attacking football.

Cambuslang created a number of chances, and eventually levelled for a second time with a close range finish on 41 minutes.

Despite several efforts from both teams the game ended 2-2 – a fair result for both teams.
