Dumbarton United 2005s got back to winning ways at the weekend with an emphatic 5-0 win over Clyde FC Community.
A sunny Saturday morning at Vale of Leven Academy was the perfect setting for their league fixture against a physical Clyde outfit.
The 2005 youngsters put last week's 2-2 with Cumbernauld behind them from the off thanks to Ryan Murray's opener after a defence splitting pass from Chris McGroggan.
As the match progressed, Dumbarton's dominance continued to build as they pinned the Clyde defence deep into their own half, doubling their advantage 28 minutes in with a fine left-footed effort from Dominic Burns after some lovely link-up play between Reece Beaton, Kristian Zetocha and the goalscorer himself, Burns.
The visitors looked to hit back after the break as they forced Adam Daly into a fantastic save but United found their feet after that scare to make it 3-0 thanks to Burns' second of the morning.
Zetocha got on the scoresheet with a well-taken spot-kick after a Clyde defender handled in the area before grabbing his second moments later to round off a comprehensive 5-0 win.

Dumbarton United 2004:
Elsewhere, the 2004 boys made the trip to Springburn in the north of Glasgow to take on Thistle Weir on Saturday for a 12-goal thriller.
The match came to life after a quiet opening period thanks to a well-worked team goal with the hosts equalising soon after.
Two goals in quick succession for the 2004 youngsters saw them restore their lead then extend it as they looked good for the win but back came Thistle who dug in well to level at 3-3 after the break.
It was the Thistle's turn to get their noses in front now as they went 5-3 up with a composed penalty and a fine long-range effort.
But United continued to press forward despite falling behind as they quickly turned the game on its head once more with three quick goals.
That looked to be it with five minutes remaining but the hosts had one last leveller in them as they snatched a dramatic goal at the death for a share of the spoils.
Dumbarton United 2006:
The United 2006 kids, meanwhile, battled back twice early in the match to register an impressive 5-3 win away to St Peter's at the weekend.
A depleted Dumbarton side found themselves 1-0 down with just four minutes on the clock after sloppy defending but they quickly hit back, levelling three minutes.
St Peter's restored their after a frantic breakaway but United showed great character to haul themselves back into it once again before going on to stamp their authority on the match with a 4-2 lead.
The home side pulled one back but United upped the tempo thereafter, going on to make it 5-3 to secure the win.

Clydebank & Dumbarton United U13's girls put in an impressive display to win 11-4 away to Renfrew in the Jane Ross League on Saturday with fine individual performances from Gemma Smith and Eva McInnes helped to secure the three points for DU.
