Osaka Kwai Judo Club members represented the club with aplomb last weekend as they competed in the Northern Ireland Open in Foyle Arena, Derry.

Lauren Carswell gained vital experience in the seniors on Saturday as she took on a number of more experienced opponents, eventually showing her determination and skill to earn bronze.

Sensei Martin Granger was up next and unfortunately lost out on a refereeing decision.

Sunday afternoon saw the youngsters step up with Darcy Millar, 11, comfortably winning all of her fights to clinch a well-deserved gold.

Freya Millar, 9, then battled well for a bronze before Skye Kane, 11, showed amazing skills to earn a silver.
