CELTIC will face either Ferencváros or Djurgarden IF in the second qualifying round of the Champions League, should they overcome KR Reykjavík in their opening fixture.

The Parkhead side were the first name out of the hat for their tie, meaning they will host the winners of the clash between the Hungarian and Swedish champions in a winner-takes-all match.

The draw for the second round of qualifiers took place in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday after Celtic were paired with the Icelandic champions the previous day.

Unlike in previous iterations of the prestigious tournament, all of this year's preliminary rounds will be one-legged affairs - apart from the play-off for the group stages, which will be played home and away as usual.

Celtic's European campaign will get underway on August 18/19 against Reykjavík, with the game scheduled to go ahead at Parkhead.

Should Neil Lennon's side win that, they'll then face the winner of Ferencváros v Djurgarden in the next round on August 25/26.
