Celtic have erected new fencing measures ahead of this weekend's home clash against St Johnstone.

Last weekend's disappointing defeat to Ross County sparked protests where hundreds of Hoops fans arrived at Parkhead to demand Neil Lennon be shown the door. Missiles were allegedly thrown and abuse was lobbed at club officials as well as players and management staff.

And while Lennon has pleaded with fans not to repeat the congregation outside the stadium win, lose or draw against Callum Davidson's side, the club have taken extra security measures on the off chance it does happen once more.

One supporter posted photos on social media of fencing surrounding virtually the entirety of the Celtic Way as well as down the sides towards the superstore.

And fans responded on social media, with some furious at the "exile". One said: "We're being exiled from the Celtic Way now?" and another added: "Fast becoming a laughing stock."

One wrote: "See when u need to fence off your stadium to stop fans from protesting u know something is wrong badly wrong", before a fourth commented: "This isn’t even funny. Absolutely shocking that this has to be done."
