Pupils at Bonhill Primary were treated to a special visit from the creators of a popular children’s book series last week.
Badger the Mystical Mutt co-author Laura Jackson read from the story while her writing partner Lyn McNicol dressed up as Badger to help bring his adventures to life. The visit, for P1 to P3 children, was organised by volunteer Marjory McGregor who runs the school library and lending service.

Head teacher Julie Reilly said: “The children were delighted with their visit from Badger the Mystical Mutt and particularly enjoyed his tricks and cheeky antics.
“He was waggling his tail and touched all of the teachers’ heads which resulted in hysterical laughter from the children.
“After the visit, our primary one class wrote about it and this resulted in some great pieces of work as well as helping us to make the link between reading and writing.”
